Suavia Bianco Veronese “Massifitti”
Brilliant straw yellow colour with golden highlights. The nose reveals white floral (lily of the valley and jasmine) and mineral notes. On the palate, it is creamy and savoury, with flavours of ripe pear, aromatic herbs and mineral, alongside its crisp acidity.
Located in Fitta, Suavia is owned and run by the three Tessari sisters, who have taken over from their parents. With plenty of passion and hard work, Meri, Valentina and Alessandra have taken the winery to the next level, where it can rightly be regarded as one of the region’s very best.
The wines produced at Suavia are aromatic, lively and fresh with a fabulous concentration of flavour. Only the two native varieties of Soave are grown in their vineyards: Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave. Trebbiano di Soave is an ancient varietal grown on the local hillside basalt soils. Small amounts of Trebbiano may typically be included with Garganega to produce Soave Classico, but it’s rare to find a pure expression of this varietal. Suavia’s Massifitti is an exception – they are one of a few to produce a 100% Trebbiano di Soave.
